End of year pics, finally...

Last day of school
Goodness, so much has happened over the past several months that I am so behind on keeping y'all up on things!  Many of you know that in the beginning of April, our landlord gave us 60 days to find another place to live because he needed to move back into his house.  For this one reason, Spanish law allows a landlord to take back his home so quickly.

As you can imagine, we were heartbroken and a little unsure of the future.  It was the worst time to be looking for housing in Valencia.  No one wants to leave a beach town right before summer... everyone leaves AFTER summer.  To make a long, long story short :), it took us a long time to find another place to live.   There was absolutely nothing with 4 bedrooms available in our neighborhood. Everyone said to try back in September and things would definitely open back up.  Well, we didn't have until September!!??!?!

The Lord opened doors, and we finally found a 4 bedroom apartment with a balcony overlooking the zoo! :)  It's in an apartment complex with a swimming pool, and the zoo offers views of green instead of the normal concrete, so I was pretty happy with that. ;)   It's on a different side of town, which means all new schools, all new friends, all new grocery stores, hospitals, etc., etc., ... basically a whole new life.  It is like we were starting over. (I'll do a post about all of that later!)

Anyway, that's all my reasoning behind my lack of writing.  :)  Sorry.  I was completely in over my head, trying to get the kids finished up with school, packing, moving, UN-packing, hosting mission teams, heading out of the country for conferences and meetings, etc.  :)  So, I'll try to quickly catch you up on some of the major things over the past couple months.

I never did post end of year pictures, but the kids all had to say goodbye to their friends.  It was pretty sad for most of them.  Weston's class was all saying goodbye, because they all graduated from 6th grade, heading on to the high school from there.  It was a good transition time for Weston, at least.  Here are some pics of the end of their school year.

The kids all together after the recital... at this moment, Grandmommy and Papa were boarding their flight to come to Valencia to help with the move!
Stay tuned... more to come, I promise! :)
