More Summer Fun...

Our neighbor from our last apartment (Javi) came over several times before he left for the summer.  He and the boys played several "futbol" games in the "paseo" between the townhouses.  This is Nathan kicking the ball!

More games with Javi.  He is definitely a "favorite" in our house!  The boys get SOOOO excited when he shows up at our doorstep.

We finally have a "yard"... you can see the size of it here.  So, we decided the only option in the heat was to get a pool! ;)  Our yard slants just a little bit, so the pool is lop-sided, but the kids have loved it.  It's also shallow enough for Carolina to enjoy, too!

4th of July!

We got together with another missionary family about an hour away.  It was fun to celebrate with other Americans on this day! :)  This is Elizabeth playing Life with us.

The kids were anxious to get out of the house, so we decided to go for a picnic!  Wes found this little fold out picnic table on sale at a local store, and it's been the BEST buy of the summer for us.  It folds up into a little box with a handle.  Perfect!

This lake is about 10-15 minutes outside of Cáceres.  It's beautiful and quiet.

It's been so fun to reach a point of independence with Weston.  He is very responsible, and can even be trusted to watch out for Carolina!  He and Jonathan had "explored" a bit and found a "treasure!" :)

We played "Yatzee" together at the lake.  Wes kept rolling "Yatzees", so I had to document it!  This is his third! :)

We had totally intended just to come for the picnic and go home.  It's usually so hot that by the afternoon, you don't really want to be outside.  BUT this particular day was so perfect!  We ended up staying and staying... and then the kids couldn't resist the water.  They all went swimming in their shorts! haha... it was so fun.

Wes and I got to rest and have adult conversation... it was such a wonderful, restful day for us!
