Our adventures in Greece- Part 1

On our way to the airport!
Oh my!  I wrote these posts ages ago, and it got lost in "drafts" I think! :)  Jonathan's craziness occurred within days of getting home from this trip, so I must've just been so distracted I never realized that I didn't post these!  Sorry.
Tired, but on our way!
As we have mentioned before, almost every year, we get together with all of our co-workers from the surrounding areas for a large "Area Group Meeting" or AGM.  This year... for the first time in 21 years, all of us from all over Europe were together in one place, for one HUGE meeting!  It was SO fun... and of course, Greece is beautiful.
Catching up on lost sleep. hehe... :)

On the plane!

Our first glimpses of the water...

On the bus on our way to the island!

Our "home" for the week.

Inside our little bungalow

You can't tell by this picture, but the pool was HUGE!... it wrapped it's way all the way around the side and back of the building.  And the best part... it was shallow all the way around!  Well, there deeper sections, but it was perfect for all our kids.  We could chat with friends and not worry about the kids.  They had a blast.

It was an amazing time for us to worship in English and be fed in English! haha... to fellowship, in English! :)  It's amazing the difference when it's in your heart language!  It makes me understand that much more the importance of learning the language so that I can share Christ's love in the heart language of my friends.

Normally, when we go to these things, they do meeting after meeting after meeting.  Don't get me wrong... the training is great, as well as the worship services... but this time, they scheduled in free time (with childcare) so we were actually able to fellowship with friends!  It was amazing, and exactly what we needed at the time.  We were so grateful! (Although I would've loved to have posted all the pics of all our friends, for security reasons, we have to keep the pics to the ones of just our family... so... just imagine hundreds of kids around Carolina. hehe... :) )

We flew in a day early and got to spend our first night with some of our dearest friends.  It was so wonderful to see where they live and share their lives just a little bit... and of course, to see our kids running around and playing together.  I think I must have been so happy to see them, I completely forgot pictures!!!! :)

Then, at the end of the conference, we decided to take a couple days vacation... since we were already in Greece, we couldn't pass it up.  We made plans months prior, to vacation with some friends of ours, so here is the beginning of our adventure together...

Carolina's first taxi ride!  She still talks about riding with Kyleigh!
Part 2 coming soon...
